Drogba Signs For Shanghai Shenhua To Become Highest Paid Player In Chinese Soccer

Ivorian striker, Didier Drogba has signed a contract with Chinese football club side, Shanghai Shenhua.
Team owner Zhu Jun was quoted on Tuesday as saying the 34-year-old Ivorian was definitely joining the club.
Drogba will announce the deal on his personal website, according to the Chinese club’s chief investor Zhu Jun.
Drogba signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Chinese side despite interest from Real Madrid (Spain), Anzhi (Russia), Marseille (France) and Tottenham (England).
Drogba, who is a two-time Africa’s best footballer, will now join his fellow ex-Chelsea player, Nicolas Anelka at Shanghai Shenhua.
The deal is reportedly worth €12 million-a-year and will make him the most expensive player in the Chinese Super League. This means Drogba will make 250,000 euros a week, far surpassing his salary at Chelsea.
