Charlie Sheen's 'Anger Management' Scores Big Numbers, Sets Ratings Record

Anger Management

Charlie Sheen has proven that viewers will follow their favorite actors to different networks. The star's new series "Anger Management" debuted on FX Thursday night and was the the most-watched scripted comedy primetime series premiere in cable history.
A total of 5.47 million viewers tuned into the series about a non-traditional therapist (Sheen) who specializes in anger management. The second episode grew to 5.74 million total viewers.
In addition, "Anger Management" now ranks as the most-watched series premiere in FX history.
The actor recently told the New York Times that the series will be his swan song. "When I'm done with this business it's just going to be about soccer games and amusement parks. And when this ends, I'm done," he explained.
Last year Sheen was famously fired from the CBS show "Two And A Half Men" after a public meltdown and feud with creator Chuck Lorre. Sheen is likely basking in the glow of his newfound success.
The ninth season of "Men" kicked off with 28 million viewers watching Ashton Kutcher take Sheen's spot in September. "Men" averaged around 12 million viewers during its last season, which finished in May. When Sheen starred, it averaged around 15 million viewers.
